How to properly distribute time and energy when passing the Unified State Exam?

On the eve of any exam, you should get a good night's sleep, have breakfast, take everything you need and go to the exam location. And during the exam you should adhere to the behavior recommended in the followingmemo for graduates:

Be extremely careful.

From the very beginning of testing, listen and remember all the information about the rules for filling out the form documentation. The quality and quantity of answers counted as correct depends closely on this information.

Follow all rules of conduct. If you want to ask a question, you just raise your hand. It should be borne in mind that you can ask questions only according to the rules for filling out the form documentation or if there are possible difficulties with the test package.

Full concentration. The registration form has been completed, all organizational issues have been resolved and unclear points have been clarified. Immediately forget about those around you and completely concentrate on understanding and completing the test task. In this situation, the “winged” expression is more appropriate than ever: “Hurry slowly!”

Test tasks should begin with answers to easy questions. The point is that as soon as a graduate begins to answer questions without doubting the correctness of his answers, since he knows for sure that he is answering correctly, he calms down and gets into a working rhythm. Nervousness disappears, the brain begins to work more clearly and precisely in the right direction, all its energy is directed towards gradual, but more accurate and complete completion of all test tasks.

Don't be intimidated by tight deadlines. The quality of answers should not suffer from a perceived lack of time. Before filling out the answer column, you should read the question twice and make sure for yourself that it is correctly and unambiguously understood, that there is an equally correct answer to it, then you should give this answer.

Difficult and unclear tasks should be skipped. After the answers to all correctly understood tasks have been found, you can return to previously understood or difficult ones and look for the correct answers to them. If you try to do everything at once, you can get “stuck” on incomprehensible tasks and, due to lack of time, not get to those for which there are complete and clear, and, most importantly, correct answers.

Any task, even the most understandable one, should be read to the end. Otherwise, you may not understand the essence of the question asked and make irreparable mistakes when performing even the simplest tasks.

Always think only about accurately completing the current task. Having taken on a new task, he will immediately switch only to this one, forgetting about the old one, until the current one is completely completed.

Apply the elimination method. From the first seconds, you can immediately exclude those answer options that clearly do not fit the correct answer. Then it’s faster and easier to find the right solution among the remaining two or three options, instead of five or seven.

Second round rule. It is advisable to divide the entire time budget allocated for the exam into three parts. Spend the first two-thirds of your time completing all simple and understandable tasks and scoring the minimum required points on them. In the remaining third of the time, go through all the unsolved difficult tasks in the second round, by this time many of them will become more understandable and completely doable. Then “scan” all your answers with your eyes, suddenly you will be able to notice obvious errors in your answers and have time to correct them.

Turn on your intuition. Sometimes, when choosing an answer, a situation may arise in which the answer to the task is intuitive. On the second round, you can try to trust your intuition. Sometimes you can try to answer intuitively rather than not complete the task at all.

Do not fall into sadness and depression if you were unable to complete some of the tasks. It is quite possible that required amount The points have already been scored and this disappointment is unlikely to help you prepare well for the next exam. The following actions would be more appropriate: forget everything, relax, get a good night's sleep and start preparing for the next exam.

How to prepare psychologically for exams .

Advice from a psychologist when preparing for the State Exam and the Unified State Exam

Always present during exam time psychological stress. Light emotional outbursts are useful; they have a positive effect on performance and enhance mental activity. But excessive emotional stress often has the opposite effect.
The reason for this is, first of all, a personal attitude towards the event. Therefore, it is important to form an adequate attitude to the situation. It will help graduates to wisely distribute their efforts to prepare for and pass the exam, and parents to provide their child with the right help.

Advice from a teacher-psychologist to graduates

1. Passing an exam is just one of life's tests, many of which remain to be completed. Don't make the event too important so as not to increase the excitement.

2. With the right approach, exams can serve as a means of self-affirmation and increase personal self-esteem.

3. Set a goal in advance that you can achieve. No one can be perfect all the time. Let your achievements not always coincide with the ideal, but they are your personal.

4. Don't be afraid of mistakes. It is known that those who do nothing make no mistakes.

5. People who are determined to succeed achieve much more in life than those who try to avoid failure.

Exam preparation

1. First, prepare your study area: remove unnecessary things from the table, conveniently arrange the necessary textbooks, manuals, notebooks, paper, pencils, etc.

2. Make a lesson plan for each day preparation, it is necessary to clearly define what exactly will be studied today.

3. Start with the hardest thing , from the section you know the worst. But if it’s difficult for you to “swing,” you can start with the material that is most interesting and enjoyable to you. Perhaps you will gradually get into a working rhythm.

4. Alternate between activities and rest , say, 45 minutes of study, then a 10-minute break. There is no need to strive to read and memorize the entire textbook. It is useful to structure the material by drawing up plans, diagrams, preferably on paper.

5. On the eve of the exam . The evening before the exam, stop preparing; you need to get as much sleep as possible in order to wake up rested, with a feeling of a “fighting” mood. You must arrive at the exam site without being late, preferably in advance.

6. While testing is runningfocus. After completing the preliminary part of the test (filling out forms), when you have clarified all the points that are unclear to you, try to concentrate and forget about those around you. Strict time limits should not affect the quality of your answers. Before entering your answer, re-read the question twice and make sure that you correctly understand what is required of you.

7. Start easy. Start answering questions to which you know the answer. We must learn to skip difficult or incomprehensible tasks. Remember: in the text there will always be questions that you will definitely be able to cope with.

8.Read the task to the end . Haste should not lead to you trying to understand the terms of the task “from the first words” and completing the ending in your own imagination. This is a surefire way to make embarrassing mistakes on the easiest questions.

9. Leave time to check your work , at least to have time to skim and notice obvious errors. Strive to complete all tasks, but remember that in practice this is unrealistic. Please note that test tasks designed for maximum level difficulties, and the number of solved tasks may well be sufficient for a good grade.

Useful Preparation Techniques

Before starting work, you need to concentrate, relax and calm down. Relaxed concentration is much more effective than tense, constrained attention.

Advance reviewwill remove the effect of surprise in the exam. Solution trainingwill help you navigate different types of tasks and calculate time. WITHYou can also check it out in advance.

Preparing for the exam requires quite a lot of time, but it should not take up absolutely all of your time. Attention and concentration weaken if you do monotonous work for a long time. Change mental activity to motor activity.

Don’t be afraid to take time away from your preparation for walks and your favorite hobbies to avoid overwork, but don’t delay the break either! It is optimal to take 10-15 minute breaks after 40-50 minutes of classes.

Maintain a sleep and rest schedule. With increased mental stress, it is worth increasing your sleep time.

The main thing is the distribution of repetitions over time.

It is useful to repeat the material 15-20 minutes before bedtime and in the morning, with a fresh mind. With each repetition, you need to comprehend the mistakes and pay attention to more difficult places.

Repetition will be effective if you reproduce the material in your own words close to the text. It is better to refer to the text if you cannot remember the material within 2-3 minutes.

To transfer information into long-term memory, you need to do repetitions after a day, two, and so on, gradually increasing the time intervals between repetitions. This method will ensure long-term memorization.

Tips for parents

Dear parents! It is your support that the graduate needs most of all. Often, parents experience important moments in the lives of their children much more acutely than their own. But it is much easier for an adult to cope with his own anxiety by pulling himself together.

During exam time, the main task of parents is to create optimal comfortable conditions for the child’s preparation and... not to disturb him. Encouragement, support, real help, and most importantly, the calmness of adults helps the child successfully cope with his own anxiety.

Do not intimidate your child, do not remind him of the complexity and responsibility of the upcoming exams. This does not increase motivation, but only creates emotional barriers that the child himself cannot overcome.

It is very important to adjust the graduate's expectations. Explain that you don’t have to answer everything to get a good result.. It is much more effective to calmly give answers to those questions that he knows for sure than to worry about.

Regardless of the exam result, often, generously and wholeheartedly tell him that he (she) is the most beloved, and that everything in his (her) life will work out! Belief in success, confidence in your child, his capabilities, stimulating assistance in the form of praise and approval are very important, because “even cacti grow better from a good word.”

    Organization of classes

It is very important to develop an individual strategy for your child during preparation and during the exam. Precisely individual, since all children are different (some are slow, some are very active, some are anxious, some have good switching ability or not so well, etc.)! And it is in the development of an individual strategy that parents should take the most active part: to help their children realize their strengths and weak sides, understand your style educational activities(if necessary, modify it), develop the ability to use your own intellectual resources and set yourself up for success.

One of the main causes of pre-exam stress is a situation of uncertainty. Familiarization with the rules in advanceTeach your child to navigate time and be able to distribute it.

Help distribute training topics by day. Familiarize your child with the methods of preparing for exams.

Provide your graduate with a comfortable place to study so that he or she will enjoy studying there!
