In the circle of technical creativity under the guidance of the master of industrial training Antipin B.M. a model of the first radio-controlled ship was made. At the same time, the construction of the school began - a three-story building with spacious offices, an assembly hall, a gym, a canteen for 200 people, which was completed in 1970.

A project for the rehabilitation of disabled children with the participation of homeless animals was launched in the Middle Urals

The grant for its implementation was won by employees of the Animal Rehabilitation Center of the Ural State agrarian university.

The first lesson was held last Saturday, March 14th. It was attended by children with mental disabilities (mental disorder and decreased intelligence from birth or as a result of illness) from the Special People Association.

As part of the first meeting, the employees of the Animal Rehabilitation Center of the Ural State Agrarian University told the children about what animals are and where they live, held a master class on making badges and drawing and, mainly, introduced all the guests to their pets.

Boys and girls, together with their parents, stroked and fed ponies, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits and even a snake with delicacies, which became a guest of the meeting together with representatives of the first zoological detachment in the Urals of the Ural State Agrarian University "Deuswald".

“Special children are frequent guests of our Center. As a rule, they are very happy about every meeting with animals, ask about them with interest and pet them with pleasure, help to carry out simple care procedures. But, most importantly, such communication has a beneficial effect on the psychoemotional state of children with developmental delays. The main goal of this project is the socialization of special children. Through the skills of communicating with animals, teach them to better communicate with each other ",- said Elizaveta Valerievna Skorynina, head of the Animal Rehabilitation Center of the Ural State Agrarian University.

Unusual classes at the veterinary clinic of the Ural Agrarian University will be held every 2 weeks on Saturdays for three months. It is planned that at the meetings, the guys, through communication with homeless animals - wards of the Animal Rehabilitation Center of the Ural State Agrarian University - will broaden their horizons about the diversity of the animal world, get skills in communicating with animals, including elements of training and caring for animals and, as a result, get the necessary experience of socialization ... The completion of the project will be the June holiday dedicated to the Children's Day.

“These activities are very important, they teach kindness, communication with animals and communication with each other. It should be noted that children with mental disabilities have a special connection with animals, through which they get to know the world better. I hope this project will grow into something more ambitious, because such systematic meetings will help better development our children ", - Ekaterina Olegovna Neiman, executive director of the Special People Association.

As a reminder, the staff of the Center for Education and Science with a project of medical, psychological and pedagogical assistance to special children won a grant competition among non-profit public organizations(NGO) of the Sinara Charitable Foundation in the Life Without Borders nomination. They will spend the funds won in the amount of 180 thousand rubles on the necessary equipment for classes, treats for animals and the organization of the final holiday in honor of Children's Day.
