The results of the university’s work on the formation of the contingent: 555 applicants were enrolled in undergraduate programs and 12 in specialty programs (specialties - graphics, painting and fine arts). Among those enrolled there are 40 people with special rights, 49 - target enrollment, 36 - medalists, 72 - young men. The competition among applicants for budget-funded places amounted to 8.5 applications per place for full-time education.
228 people were enrolled in full-time study at places under agreements for the provision of paid educational services, incl. 74 foreign citizens from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, China, Ukraine, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
386 people were enrolled in distance learning. 128 - under contracts for the provision of paid educational services, incl. 5 foreign citizens from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Vietnam. The competition among applicants for budget-funded places amounted to 3.08 applications per place for distance learning.
60 people are enrolled in full-time and part-time education. The competition among applicants amounted to 4.05 applications per place. The target numbers for admission to full-time master's programs have been met in the amount of 150 people. 456 people submitted documents. 20 people were enrolled under contracts for the provision of paid educational services, incl. 12 foreign citizens from China and 1 from the Republic of Korea were enrolled under contracts for the provision of paid educational services. The competition amounted to 3.04 applications per place. 5 people were enrolled in full-time postgraduate programs. In addition, 2 people were admitted to graduate school under contracts for the provision of paid educational services for full-time study.
A special feature of this year was the allocation of a target admission quota detailed for individual customers for single-industry towns (Mikhailovka and Frolovo) - 3 places. The university concluded 55 agreements on targeted reception with various organizations that have entered into targeted training agreements with 163 citizens. The largest number of applicants submitted applications from Elansky, Mikhailovsky, Surovikinsky, Kalachevsky, Novonikolaevsky, Pallasovsky, Chernyshkovsky districts.

An analysis of the quality of knowledge and academic performance of VGSPU graduates over the past 4 years shows that they have fairly high indicators: the quality of knowledge has increased from 79% to 86.8%, academic performance remains consistently high. VSPU: The Great Patriotic War and its consequences

The war, which went down in the history of mankind as the most terrible and destructive, claimed the lives of many teachers and students of the institute, which is now called the Volgograd Social Pedagogical University. Between September 1942 and November 1943, the institute suspended its work due to a shortage of teaching staff and students. VSPU: current state of the university
